Hands down, Ray's has the best happy hour food menu. We were just there on Monday and got in our order right before 6pm. It was packed! We actually had to...

I've been to Ray's twice now, with a large group at Christmas, and with just my wife to celebrate an anniversary. Our Christmas meal was great, but I want to write about our anniversary visit. We received exceptional service from the staff at Ray's - hostesses, managers, and waiters alike. I dropped by the restaurant ahead of our anniversary dinner with a present for my wife. They were incredibly obliging in holding the gift, and - on their own accord - making a special presentation of it during our dinner, accompanied by champagne. How thoughtful! They provided us an excellent table: an incredible view of the river at sunset, decorated for an anniversary, secluded enough to feel private, but still in the mix of the crowd. Their support with the gift, their thoughtfulness in seating us, combined with the attention and thoughtfulness of our waiter during our meal, made for an incredibly special evening. A word about the food: fantastic. Their goat cheese fritters are incredible, and the Manhattan they poured was the best I've had in a while. Save room for dessert.

Wait staff and valets provided great service. Food, for a vegetarian, was just OK, for vegan, not so much. If you love seafood, gumbo, meats there was much more variety. Omelettes were well.prepared, but line was long. Desserts looked tempting. Chocolate mousse was pretty good. In short, service was great. Food acceptable, but not stellar -- without meat/seafood entrees. Can't speak to them.

Excellent happy hour deals. Sure it's fancy but it does the trick after work. If you park further back in the lot there's no need to valet. Draft selections are good, also a fully stocked bar. The food is good a bit refined for my taste but I'm always able to find something to enjoy.
